Barbados Culture: Open Gardens: Gardenia

Home of Mr and Mrs Cecil Duckworth, this house is located at The Garden, St.James. Designed by famous landscape artist "Tabora", the garden features several curved paths that lead around the house and pool and down to the beach.

The garden features many tropical shrubs and flowering plants including a mass of bougainvillea, the ever-popular hibiscus in various shades, and many ferns. Near the entrance of the property are three lovely Traveler's Trees.

The pool deck and gazebo offer a breathtaking view of the landscaped garden below and the sparkling Caribbean Sea.
